Marketing budget calculator
Set a monthly budget, decide the share going to each channel, and see the arithmetic immediately: planned spend, expected enquiries and cost per enquiry. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
Your inputs
The whole amount you can commit for one month, across all channels.
Leave the default if you do not know it. Every channel below is scaled from this figure.
Channel allocation
Percentages should total 100. The bar resets proportionally if you overshoot.
Projected outcome
Spend by channel
Estimates only. Cost per enquiry differs by category, city, offer quality and season. Replace the defaults with your own historic numbers as soon as you have a month of data.
What the numbers do and do not tell you
Budget first, channels second
Decide the total before dividing it. A budget built by adding up channel wishes is always larger than the business can sustain for three months.
Cost per enquiry is a proxy
Cheap enquiries can be worse than expensive ones. Track how many enquiries became paying customers — that number decides where the money goes.
Commit for a quarter
Most channels need three months to produce a readable signal. Changing the split every fortnight mostly measures noise.
Turn the split into a campaign plan
Once the numbers look sane, the next question is sequence: what launches first, what needs creative approval, and when does the review happen. The campaign planner covers those steps week by week, and the six-week guide explains the reasoning.
Budget calculator FAQ
What is a reasonable monthly marketing budget for a small Indian business?
A common starting range is 5 to 10 per cent of monthly revenue for a business that already has a reliable product and wants steady growth. A new business without a referral base often needs more, and a business in a maintenance phase can spend less. The figure matters less than committing to the same amount for at least three months so the results have time to mean something.
How many enquiries should I expect per rupee of spend?
It varies enormously by category, city and offer. The calculator uses editable assumptions rather than fixed industry benchmarks, because a realistic cost per enquiry for one business can be ten times that of another. Use your own historical numbers if you have them, and treat the defaults as placeholders to replace.
Should I put all my budget into one channel?
Not at first. Two or three channels is usually better than one, because a single channel gives you no comparison and no fallback if costs rise. Once one channel is clearly producing cheaper, better-quality enquiries, concentrating more budget there is reasonable.
Does this calculator store my numbers?
No. All calculation happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. Refreshing the page resets the values.
