Why hub.in exists
Most business advice available to a small Indian business is written for a different reader: the funded startup, the enterprise, or the person buying a course. The actual reader — an owner or office manager doing three jobs at once — is usually looking for something narrower and more useful: a template, a checklist, a sequence they can follow without translation.
This site is that shelf. Four topic areas aligned to the functions a small business actually runs — advertising and marketing, business management, administration and operations, and office functions — plus a library of the working documents that go with them.
Who this is written for
- Small business owners who need a plan they can explain to a bank, a partner or a new hire.
- Office and operations managers replacing memory with written routines.
- Freelance marketers who need client-ready documents without buying a course.
- New managers inheriting a function with no documentation at all.
If you are a large enterprise or a funded startup looking for growth frameworks, most of this site will be too basic. That is deliberate — the constraint is what makes it usable for everyone else.
How resources are produced
Every guide follows the same structure, so you know where to look even in an unfamiliar topic:
- The problem, stated plainly. What goes wrong and why, usually in the first paragraph.
- The sequence. The order of operations, because order is where most of the value is.
- The numbers, with assumptions. Where a figure appears, the reasoning behind it appears too. We do not present industry benchmarks as if they were universal.
- The mistakes. The specific errors that account for most of the wasted effort.
- The template. A document that puts the guide into practice, linked at the end.
Review and freshness
Each guide carries a published date and a date last reviewed. Guides are reviewed on a rolling schedule, at minimum twice a year, and whenever a reader tells us something has become inaccurate. Corrections are made to the page and the review date is updated — we do not quietly rewrite history.
Independence
This matters enough to state explicitly:
- No paid listings in the directory.
- No affiliate links inside editorial content.
- No sponsored guides, and no editorial written by an advertiser.
- No commission on any introduction or recommendation.
